Most bakkie seat cushions on the market are a slab of cheap foam, or foam glued to a thin chipboard panel. They feel fine in week one. By month six they sag in the middle, the board cracks on a corrugated road, and the cover starts peeling.
We build ours the way we build mattresses. A solid wood base carries the weight so the foam only has to do the comfort work. On top of that sits high-density foam, the same grade that goes into our beds, wrapped in a hexagon-stitched leather-look cover that looks like it came out of the factory with your bakkie.

Yes. It is made for the rear compartment of cab-and-a-half bakkies: Toyota Hilux Xtra Cab, Ford Ranger SuperCab, Isuzu D-Max Extended Cab, Nissan Navara King Cab, Mazda BT-50 FreeStyle Cab, Mitsubishi Triton Club Cab and older models like the Colt Clubcab and Isuzu KB Space Cab. What makes it stronger than other rear seat cushions?
Most rear seat cushions are foam-only or built on thin chipboard that sags and cracks. Ours is built on a solid wood base, so it stays flat and firm under weight, trip after trip. The foam on top is high-density, the same grade we use in our mattresses.
What is the cover made of?
A durable leather-look upholstery with hexagon stitching. It feels like a premium factory seat, wipes clean with a damp cloth, and handles dust, dogs and work boots.
How does delivery work?
Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa, with a small fee only for extreme rural areas. Your rear seat cushion ships within 2 to 3 working days to main centres and 5 to 7 working days to outlying areas.
Do I need to bolt it in?
No drilling or bolts needed. The cushion sits flat on the rear floor or jump-seat platform. Its weight and the snug fit keep it in place. You can lift it out in seconds when you need the space for cargo.
Can passengers sit on it?
It is an upholstered comfort cushion that makes the hard rear compartment comfortable for short trips, kids, workers between sites and pets. It is not a certified replacement seat and does not include seatbelts, so always follow your vehicle licensing rules for carrying passengers.
