Why buy a topper instead of a new mattress
Most people who buy a topper do it for one reason: the mattress they have is too hard, often a new mattress that turned out firmer than it felt in the showroom. A topper is a fraction of the cost of replacing the whole bed, and a good one fixes the actual problem, which is pressure on the hips and shoulders, not the whole mattress underneath.
