Mr Mattress makes ours 7cm thick at a published 30 density, with a quilted top and a fitted border that wraps the mattress like a fitted sheet, and it ships flat and folded rather than rolled, so there is no wait for it to expand.

Where Sloom genuinely wins, buy theirs instead if this is you
- Brand recognition. Sloom is a well known name from its modular mattress, which carries over into trust in the topper. If that reputation matters more to you than the spec sheet, buy theirs.
- Cover weight. A 500gsm knit is a heavier, denser cover than most toppers use.
- King+ sizing options. Sloom lists a dedicated Cape Town King (200 x 214cm) size that few other brands stock as standard.
