Bed King is a South African bed retailer founded in 1999, with warehouses in Cape Town and Johannesburg and stores across the country. Unlike some big retailers that resell brands like Sealy and Restonic, most of what Bed King sells is its own: Comfort Solutions, including an in-store "Comfort Solutions Lab" for personalised bed fitting, and Mewer, a locally produced budget range starting under R5,000.
Mr Mattress is a smaller manufacturer. We make our own foam and memory foam mattresses in South Africa, plus one Bonnell coil-and-foam Hybrid, and sell them directly online and through our own stores. Four ranges, every one with its specs published.
The comfort exchange, read closely
Bed King's comfort exchange allows one exchange per customer, for a bed of equal or greater value, provided you've used the mattress for a minimum of 30 nights and a maximum of 90. To keep it valid you must have bought a waterproof mattress protector on the same invoice as the mattress, and the mattress must not be soiled or in unsatisfactory condition. Use it once, and that's your only exchange - there's no second chance if the replacement isn't right either. It's also worth knowing that Bed King's own terms state the warranty itself becomes void if you use the comfort exchange.
