Komatipoort and the Lebombo border
Komatipoort sits right at the edge of South Africa, in Mpumalanga's Ehlanzeni district, at the Lebombo border post opposite Ressano Garcia on the Mozambique side. It's a working border town: trucks queue for the crossing, people commute across for jobs, and a fair number of Komatipoort and Nkomazi households have family or work ties in Maputo and the surrounding provinces. It's also close to Marloth Park, where Mr Mattress opened an appointment-only showroom in August 2026, our first store on that model.
Because of that mix, we get genuine questions from two different kinds of customer: people settled in Komatipoort who just want a mattress delivered locally, and people who are relocating, working across the border, or buying for a home in Mozambique. This page answers both honestly, because the terms are genuinely different depending on which side of the border the mattress ends up on.
Two sides of the border, two sets of terms
Komatipoort, South African side
If your delivery address is in Komatipoort itself, or anywhere else in South Africa, nothing changes from our normal terms. Delivery is free nationwide, the standard window is 3 to 7 working days, and every mattress comes with the full 365 night home trial. If it's not right for you, we collect it for free within that trial period. The Marloth Park showroom is close by and appointment-only, so it's a reasonable stop to see and feel a mattress in person before you buy, whether you're keeping it in Komatipoort or planning to carry or ship it across the border yourself afterward.
Delivery into Mozambique
We do deliver into southern Mozambique, covering Maputo province and the nearby areas. We do not currently reach the far north of the country, so please don't assume coverage of places like Beira or Nampula. Because customs, cross-border logistics and distance all vary, there's no fixed online price for Mozambique delivery and it isn't part of our standard free nationwide delivery. You'll need to call 087 087 1610 so we can work out the delivery cost with you directly. Lead time also varies and gets arranged and agreed with you on that call, rather than promised upfront. Most importantly: the 365 night home trial and the free collection-if-not-right policy do not apply once a mattress crosses the border. Cross-border sales are final, with no home trial return path. The mattress itself still carries its full written warranty against manufacturing defects (the same warranty you'd get buying in South Africa), it's specifically the trial and return mechanism that doesn't extend across the border.

Mozambique delivery pricing is quoted separately by phone, once we've worked out the delivery logistics with you, it is not included in these prices.
How Mozambique delivery works
Start by ordering online or calling 087 087 1610 to tell us the mattress you want and where in southern Mozambique it needs to go. From there we work out the delivery cost and a realistic timeline with you directly, based on the route, the border crossing and the specific area, rather than quoting a fixed promise that we can't guarantee across an international border. We'll talk through the practical side of the delivery on that call. We're not a customs broker, so please check the current customs and import requirements for bringing goods into Mozambique yourself with the relevant authorities before your delivery date, so there are no surprises at the border. Once everything is agreed, we arrange the crossing and delivery.
