How do I measure my bakkie bin for a mattress?
Measure the length of the load bin floor, the width between the arches at the narrowest point, and the height you have available under your canopy, all in centimetres. Wheel-arch cutouts are no problem, we cut around them.
What thickness should a bakkie mattress be?
Most sleepers choose between roughly 50mm for occasional use and easy storage, and 100mm or more for regular camping comfort. Because the foam is high density, even the thinner options carry adult weight on a hard bin floor far better than a low density camping pad.
